Cross Country Schedule

  Our pre-season meet was largely a success, with an even mix of veterans and newbies taking on the hills of Phipps Park, and a few parents sweating it out on the course, too!  The More Otters were close to sweeping individual titles, with James McClure and Caroline Willis notching wins in the 5K, and Johnny McClure triumphing in the boys' 3K.  Lindsay James took a strong 3rd in the girls' 3K.  Teamwise, the Varsity boys claimed first, with MS squads earning 2nd and 3rd, respectively, for boys' and girls' races.  Alas, the dominant running from our four varsity girls was not enough to get them to the winner's circle, as five runners are required to score.  It's not too late to recruit more runners among your classmates, girls!

  It's back to the same venue - but on a more challenging course - this Saturday morning at the Cougar Invite.  Over 30 schools will be running, so both HS and MS teams should get plenty of competition.  This is an official season meet, so Coach Droze will handle all registration.  EVERYBODY can run.  HS runners,please be at Phipps Park by 7am (to witness sunrise!).  MS runners need to be there by 8:00am.

Here's the schedule:

7:00am - HS, be at Phipps Park to warm up 

7:15am - Community 5K (parents: email Coach Droze ASAP if you want to run)

8:00am - Varsity Girls 5K, all MS be at Phipps to warm up

8:40am - Varsity Boys 5K

9:15am - Girls 3K

9:40am - Boys 3K

10:30am - Awards


Beginning this year, all runner must complete a manditory concussion course. (Yes even if you just run). Here is a link to the instructions on how to complete this course.
